Plan Epi Infinity Corrected Objectives
The Meiji MT8500 has Plan Epi BD5X, BD10X, BD20X, and BD50X objectives that rotate smoothly on a ball bearing-mounted quadruple nosepiece. With the included SWH 10X FN22 Widefield high eyepoint eyepieces, you can achieve magnification settings of 50x, 100x, 200x, and 500x. These included eyepieces accept an optional 25mm reticle; also available are SWH 15X and 20X eyepieces and a SWH 10X-F focusing eyepiece for those customers who require greater magnification.
Full Koehler illumination is standard, powered by a 12V 50W halogen lamp for vertcial incident illumination. A separate transformer is included in its own case for the incident light. A Koehler 6V 30W halogen lamp built into the base provides transmitted illumnination. Both lamps include a useful auto-voltage sensor. Four filters are included: blue clear, green clear, neutral (ND 50), and polarizing, all of which have a diamater of 20mm with a 30mm metal mount.
The MT8500 has dioptric adjustment for convenient focusing of both eyes, and the eyepieces have an interpupillary adjustment range of 53-75 mm to adjust comfortably to the distance between your eyes. Additionally, the microscope is available in trinocular format with a beam splitter (80/20 trinocular port/eyepieces) so that you can operate the trinocular port and right eyetube simultaneously, if desired.
Metallographic microscopes are compound microscopes especially designed for observing the etched surface of a polished metal specimen. With both bright and darkfield microscope capability, these light microscopes meet the requirements of research and inspection in fields such as metallurgy, electronics, semi-conductors, and crystallography and are specially designed for the observation of metal objects.
These microscopes are manufactured under the strict guidelines established under ISO 9001:2000 Standards. They are sold with Meiji Techno's limited lifetime warranty.
The Meiji line of microscopes offers a number of other options. Call our microscope professionals toll free at (877) 409-3556 for information on configuring a microscope to suit your application.
